Raceview Mill welcomes walkers and their dogs!
Our butterfly path is stunningly beautiful and runs for almost half a kilometer by the riverside.
Over a hundred butterfly attracting shrubs have been planted along the path, and in Spring 2016, another 100+ plants and trees were planted by the 1st Broughshane Cubs and Scouts, helped by scouts from St Columba's clubs.
Starting at Raceview Mill is one of Northern Ireland's most intresting walks, a very manageable two miles in total.
Park at Raceview Mill, wander past the shops and traders down to the river.
Walk past the Hedgehog Habitat along the Butterfly path until you reach the Knockan Bridge.
Cross the road and enjoy the Riverside path and the Waterfowl Reserve until you reach the Buttermilk Bridge.
Across the road you will see Houston's Mill.
Go right down the award winning Main Street with its superb collection of excellent shops. Perhaps drop into the Parlour for an ice cream, or the Thatch for a pint.
Look out for the Museum, Library and other interesting locations.
Keep going straight until you are safely back to Raceview Mill where a welcoming coffee awaits you in the Red Brick Coffee House.
Broughshane rightly bears the title "The Garden Village of Ulster" and we encourage people to visit the village and all it has to offer while visiting Raceview Mill.
In particular there is a beautiful two mile walk which takes you in a complete circle down by the riverside, past the pond and back through the village with all its interesting businesses and shops.
